The Artist, The Educator, & The Mentor

For Chantel Hampton, the journey began as the youngest member of a 50-voice youth choir in the inner city of Boston, founded by her father, minister and producer, LeRoix Hampton III.  At the age of 14 she began to function as a Worship Leader at her local assembly, where she served faithfully every week. There she was approached by the Chairman of Berklee College of Music's ensemble department to audition for a spot in Berklee's City Music Program's after school progam. Chantel later received full-tuition scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music from where she graduated with a B.A in Music Business & Management. Between her genius with the pen and her flair behind the mic, Chantel found herself writing and recording for Bishop T.D Jakes’ label, Dexterity Sound and Universal Music. Ms. Hampton was also privileged to share the stage with Sheila E, Anita Baker, Rodney Jerkins, Philip Bailey and The Yellow Jackets.

Throughout her college career a deep passion grew in Chantel for empowering her generation as well as the next. In a pursuit to answer this passion, she began to speak, teach and lead worship for various youth conferences and organizations including The DeVos Urban Leadership Conference, Jeanne Mayo’s National Youth Conference & Bishop Hezekiah Walker's Annual Youth Convention. She had the opportunity to write music for, direct and lead worship with a 300 voice youth choir for Ron Luce & Teen Mania’s Battle Cry conferences, reaching over 40,000 youth.

In 2009, Chantel released her debut album "Contagious", and was the two-time winner of the VH1 songwriting competition for the title song. That same year,  Chantel co-founded songwriting/production company, Channel Focused Media, LLC (CFM). Since starting the company, she’ has teamed up with several producers & songwriters such as Hannon Lane (Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Rihanna, FloRida), Wirlie Morris (Grammy Nominated song “You Are” Charli Wilson) Howard Cooney (B.O.B, Bruno Mars, Timbaland), Marvin “Tony Hemmings” In 2011, Chantel wrote, produced and performed on Rahni Song’s “Breakin’ The Rules” album reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Chart and her single "Star of the Story" was listed as the 3rd most requested song on Adult Contemporary radio. Later that year, she won the BET 106th & Park Wild Out Wednesday Female R&B Competition, garnering her both international and national attention.  Chantel has recently worked as a vocalist and vocal arranger with RCA Music Group's artist Gabi Wilson for her appearances on BET Music Matters , Sway in The Morning and The South by South Music Festival. Similarly, her voice and arrangements can be heard onf Roc Nation artist, Justine Skye's, 2015 Emotionally Unavailable Tour.  Her team continues to focus on the development and education of artists, producing their product and preparing them for the industry (

Ms. Hampton is currently a faculty member at her alma mater, Berklee College of Music and serves as a founding member and program director of Signature Music Design (, an organization that with artists who are inspired to share their music and careers to help others that are in need. In addition to this, she leads worship at her local church, Congregation Lion of Judah, all while pursuing her Masters degree at New York University, with a focus in Educational Leadership, Policy & Advocacy.

Chantel, has deep passion and vision to mentor, empower and influence young people and aspiring musicians, to live signature lives. Her desire is to pass on the torch that will uphold a standard of positive living and keep the legacy of honest music alive.
